Chances are, if you have purchased a Dye Tube, you already have some kind of idea or routine in mind. A quick look through Rice's Encyclopedia of Magic or The Tarbell Course in Magic and you will be aware of the vast number of moves and routines possible with this ingenuous device. Basically it is used to make a silk scarf appear, disappear or change into another as in the color changing effect. The cloth loop inside acts as both a stopper and a plunger. If a silk is to be vanished, the loop keeps you from pushing it right on through the tube. In a silk dying effect, as one silk is pushed in, the loop keeps the two separated as it forces the second one out.
