MAGIC, INC. IS UP TO ITS OLD TRICKS!
After a few rough years (with the passing of Frances and Jay Marshall) it would be fair to say we had lost our edge. Those days are gone. MAGIC, INC. HAS COME ROARING BACK. We’ve put the FAMILY back in our FAMILY business. Jay Marshall’s son, Sandy, and his wife Susan took over Magic, Inc. in May 2007, and the turnabout was instantaneous.Sandy set a challenge for the staff to put out a new trick EVERY WEEK through last summer… not because it’s easy, but because it’s hard. Our great staff of professional magicians was up to the challenge.
The first new trick was MARSHALL’S TEN CARD, and it became our best selling trick for the next six months. It was followed by great tricks like JAY’S BANANA FLOAT, PEDRO’S GREEN CARD, COLLEN’S KARMA CORD, THE MENTALISM DECKS, AYE JAYE’S HOTLINE, NEW CARD THRU HANDKERCHIEF, THE MENTAL DENTAL BOOK TEST, and our latest effort, THE DA VINCI CARD.
We are once again manufacturing new tricks that are only available at MAGIC, INC. We are also publishing new books, as well as republishing our classics like Ed Marlo’s “Revolutionary Card Technique”, “Steranko on Cards”, and J.B. Bobo’s “New Modern Coin Magic.”
Our Jay Marshall Lecture Series continues to thrive and garner participation from top-flight magicians. Cardtoon creator and Rubberband Man Dan Harlan held us spellbound in our April lecture (the first lecture of the spring season; a Chicago exclusive at Magic, Inc.). Next up: Bob Sheets (May 9), Dr. Lawrence Hass (June 7), and Al James (June 28). Check out our lectures page for additional information.
As our business continues to thrive, we like to say, “If you haven’t been to Magic, Inc. lately… then you haven’t been to MAGIC, INC.”
Yes, Harry Potter, there is a Diagon Alley…
… and it’s right here in Chicago. Best of all it’s right next to Magic, Inc., 5082 N. Lincoln Avenue, the oldest continuously family-run magic shop in North America.
At Magic, Inc. we still have a few surprises up our sleeves. That’s why Magic, Inc. is the place to find the Classics of Magic, as well as New Tricks, DVDs, Books, Magic Lessons, Juggling Supplies, and Gags.
