Tree of Knowledge -Trick
Paul Hallas has done it again. He has come out with a new very commercial effect here. A magician shows a card with a picture of an apple. Talking about the fact that apples are famous fruits and important because of Isaac Newton's discovery of gravity, the conjuror shows that he has four cards with one apple on each. Next, the magic man explains that the apple was first mentioned in the story of Adam and Eve, although some scholars think the apple gets a bad rap in this story, because the forbidden fruit could have been grapes or something else. He says no matter, we will work with the apple today-a lot of room for humor here. The cards are turned over to display the other sides and there is a tree on each card. Yes, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree! The performer asks a spectator to pick a number from one to four to select which tree he thinks is the tree of knowldge-a free choice incidentally. The magician says the assistant will select the tree of knowledge, even though these trees all look like, because this particular spectator is intelligent! When the cards are counted to the chosen number, this card is indeed shown to be the tree of knowledge ( a serpeant appears on its bottom). For a final surprise, when the tree is turned over, the apple has a bite taken out of it, proving that the apple really doesn't fall too far from the tree! Everything is left for examination.
The cards are beautifully made and are very colorful. This can be a tremendous gospel or secular effect! It is wonderful for children or adults and for stand-up, walk -around it is an instant reset.
